Walk to Florida Street (1 min) and Galerías Pacífico (3 min) for pedestrian shopping, cafés, and classic architecture. Plaza San Martín (5 min) is your green, historic anchor just outside the door.
Getting around is easy: Retiro Station (7 min) connects trains, long-distance buses, and Subte Lines C and E, with Line C running straight through downtown. Line B is also easy to reach via transfer or a short walk south to the Florida / Leandro N. Alem stations.
Beyond the doorstep: Av. 9 de Julio is about 4 blocks away, with the Obelisk about 15 min. Calle Santa Fe, one of the city's main shopping avenues, is close by. Recoleta is about 18 min and Puerto Madero about 20 min. The Buquebus ferry terminal (Av. Antártida Argentina 821, north Puerto Madero) makes a Colonia, Uruguay day trip easy.
Walk everywhere, or ride one Subte line to most of the city.
